Community Conversation Explores Racism in Southern Maryland

Honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King by participating in a discussion about racism in our community.

“I Didn’t Know… Exploring Racism in Our Community” will take place Sunday, Jan. 14, from 2 to 5 p.m. at Middleham and St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, 10210 HG Trueman Road in Lusby. The event is sponsored by Middleham & St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in partnership with Community Mediation Center of Calvert County, Community Mediation Center of St. Mary’s County, Calvert County NAACP, St. Mary’s County NAACP, Calvert Library, and College of Southern Maryland.

During this community conversation, Southern Maryland leaders will discuss local issues, and attendees will share experiences in small groups. All will be focused on what we can do.

Child care will be provided on request. The event is part of The Big Conversation series. For more information, visit www.middlehamandstpeters.org.
